Perhaps you have noticed that we haven’t yet discussed cutting speed. Although it is possible to cut 500 inches per minute with a tube, this is not always feasible. Laser tube cutting should not be about how long it takes for a tube to be loaded, indexed so that it is in the right place for cutting, pierce it and then unload it. Laser tube cutting machines are more concerned with part-processing times than cutting speed.
Remember that there is no perfect tube. They can have bows. They can have weld seams that protrude on both the interior and exterior of the tube. This material can be difficult to process consistently and quickly when there are inconsistencies from one product to the next.

StarFeed can be used as an automated loader/unloader to the StarCut Tube laser cutting machine. It comes in two sizes, S and L. The StarFeed allows you to fully automate dry and wet cutting for tubes of any diameter from 1-20mm. StarFeed L can store 48 tubes and allows processing of oval tubing. Its sensor-controlled gripping unit avoids damage. The result is a substantial increase in productivity.

StarFiber Series includes compact fiber lasers and optional focusing heads to allow for cutting or laser welding. SmartWeld(tm), a technology that allows for fine and large welds, can also be used.
